Purehurst started with an old camera and a conversation I wasn't supposed to be part of.While interning at Rosenberg, Freedman & Lee LLP, an estate law firm in Newton, MA, I kept overhearing how difficult it was for families to actually deal with the physical stuff left behind after a loved one passed or downsized, the furniture, the china, the odds and ends nobody had time to sort through fairly.One day my boss asked me to help sell an old camera for her, and that small task turned into a bigger question: why was it so hard to sell something honestly online, without getting lowballed or misrepresented in the process? That question became Purehurst.I'm Andrey Sarkanich, a Newton, MA native and rising sophomore at Vanderbilt University, and I started this because I think people deserve a straightforward, trustworthy way to sell the things that matter to them, without the guesswork.
